Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant to Get to But DIdn't

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's topic is: Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant to Get to But Didn't.  It's my first post since the New Year (Happy New Year, friends!) and I'm already looking back on all the books I didn't get to last year.  The list could be endless but I picked 10 books that I really hope to read and soon!

The Shadow Behind the Stars by Rebecca Hahn (9/1/15): A behind the scenes look of the Fates and an original romance.  Yes, please!

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon (9/1/15): Everyone has recommended this book to me and I mean, everyone.  It sounds fantastic and something I definitely would love.

Unforgiven by Lauren Kate (11/10/15): I know I am a terrible reader when I didn't even know this book was releasing until its release date.  The fifth in the Fallen series, who knew?  I thought the story was over.  But, of course, after my Fallen Book Discussion with you in 2012, I must find out what happens next.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir (4/28/15): I know, I know what you're thinking.  You can't believe I haven't read this book yet.  Fantasy that was super hyped was super pushed back on my shelf but I do plan on getting to it soon.

Edgewater by Courtney Sheinmel (9/8/15): What drew me to this one was that the backdrop to the story is this decrepit mansion.  Did I say creepy? Isn't that freaky?  The son of a senator is somehow connected to the girl who recently moved in.  I want to know how and why; this one sounds awesome!

These Shallow Graves by Jennifer Donnelly (10/27/15): Jennifer Donnelly writes characters that hit me on such a personal level that I sometimes have to stop reading to breathe.  This mystery is sure to cause that and I simply can't wait to dive right in.

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh (5/12/15): After read A Thousand Nights this fall, I wanted to dive in another retelling of the classic but never got around to it.  Everyone says this retelling is the one to read!

The Accident Season by Moira Fowley-Doyle (8/18/15): This is a book that I will probably read next fall.  It has a Halloween vibe, where at the end of October, the family is under some sort of curse which has unusual accidents start happening. Strange but intriguing.

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff (10/20/15): After reading The Dead House, I just wasn't in the mood for the nontraditional book format with secret files and text messages.  Plus, the length is a little intimidating.  Anyone else have the hardcover that weighs at least 10 pounds?  That may be a hyperbole, it also may not be.

Winter by Marissa Meyer (11/10/15): Getting Winter read is in my top 10 to read this month or next month so it will be done.  It is always sad for me to finish series but I always have Stars Above to look forward to.  After reading Fairest, I cannot wait to meet Winter in her element. I'm sure it will be all it has been hyped up to be and more.

What 2015 books have you not gotten to yet?

  3. Great list, you have a lot of awesome books that you still need to get to. I've read Everything, Everything and Illuminae. I LOVED Illuminae, it was so wonderful and was so unique as well. I really enjoyed Everything, Everything too. Most of the others are ones I am still hoping to find time to get to in 2016.

I hope you enjoy them when you get the chance to read them :) Here's my TTT, if you want to check out my list.
