Hey, people from Earth and other people who are not from here, for the next 11 weeks we will be giving you the awesomeness that is DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth. Be sure to show up, because we are giving away some goodies, check it out HERE. Just a side note, I will be asking a question after each discussion post. Be sure to follow the discussion and don’t be scared to join in on our discussion/ questions. Those who entered the contest will receive extra entries for answering a question. Every week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, we will discuss three chapters per week: tell you about the plot, and other random bits of spicy goodness that you should definitely know about (all relating to Divergent). Just for your curiosity: helping me out with this discussion is Jackie, one of my best friends (please say hello to her). Basically these posts will be categorized by person. Jackie hasn't read the book so be sure to read her first impressions while she reads along and if you have read Divergent, be sure to read my input (this will be the my second read through). are tired which means they are taking a break from fighting each other to throw

With an eventful previous night, all initiates and even Four
are tired which means they are taking a break from fighting each other to throw
knives at targets… and at Al and Tris.
This chapter is one of my favorite chapters in the entire
book. I love the simplicity of it. Plus, I love that Tris hits the target before
anyone else and the little scene, almost private, with Four and Tris.
If you haven’t read the short story titled, Free Four, which
is this chapter in Four’s perspective, you are missing out because it is
adorable. I love Four so much.
Despite Tris losing her fight a few chapters ago, I love
that she takes the time to try to master knife throwing and she is pretty good,
from what I can tell. Peter taunts her
about it but Tris is not afraid to taunt him right back which might get her
into trouble later but, right now, it’s hilarious.
You do not know how much I love Four. However, I cannot understand what his game is
by hitting her in the ear like that. I
think there are better ways to tell a girl you love her than by nicking them
with a knife.
Why did Four hit Tris with the knife?
