Cover Discovered (2)

So, I was just playing around on my computer, looking at the monitor and thinking that I should be reading.  That's when, on Goodreads, I found the most lovely news ever.  I found some awesome covers that just came out and would love to share them with you.

The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson

Publisher: Hyperion Book CH
Publication Date: September 29, 2011
Per-order It: Amazon
A modern-day thriller about Rory, an American high-school student who enrolls at a London boarding school for her junior year. Soon after her arrival, a series of murders begins to take place across the city—on the exact dates and in the exact style of Jack the Ripper. Rory’s ties to the killer bring her in contact with a secret paranormal branch of the British police, as they attempt to stop the mysterious killer. --Goodreads
This cover looks so cute.  Not to mention, the summary sounds so good- it sends shivers down my spine.  Did it just get colder, or was it just me?  Plus, the book is by Maureen Johnson, the goddess of chick-lit.  But this really doesn't sound like much of a chick novel, so it will be exciting to find out what Johnson has up her sleeve this time.

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

Publisher: Poppy
Publication Date: 2011
A contemporary reimagining of the Greek play, "Lysistrata," in which high school senior Lissa decides it's time to end her school's ridiculous sports rivalry once and for all by starting a hook-up strike. --Goodreads
The first thing I thought, upon seeing this cover, was, "Whoa, football," but then I thought, "Wow, I wish I had flawless skin like that," (too bad it's probably only photoshop), but the cover is pretty cute.  Let me just tell you, I will be reading this.  Kody Keplinger blew me away in The DUFF and I'm expecting this one to blow me away as well.

Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia

Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: October 18, 2011
Book #3 in the Caster Chronicles.
That all there is in the description, which is very disappointing, but otherwise I really do like these covers.  I love the theme of them that is on each cover.  The font they use is so adorable and fancy.

Well, until next time- how do like these covers?  And which ones are you looking forward to reading?
