10 Books That Have Been on My TBR For Too Long

Tuesday, February 06, 2018

I started the new year with the goal to read more books I own. In order to accomplish this, I am participating in the Beat the Backlist Challenge, hosted by Novel Knight. All participants are put into teams where we compete with one another to read the most backlist books each month. I'm having a blast! Also, I am slowly-but surely- getting some of my books read. Finally!

I have so many books on my shelves that I still need to read. Some of the books have been there for years. Since I'm a mood reader, it's difficult to return to the back of my shelves unless I'm motivated to. However, the books in this list have been on my shelves the longest and really should be read soon. Once again Top Ten Tuesday tries to shame me into reading the old books on my shelves... let's hope it works! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is: Top Ten Books That Have Been on my To-Read List the Longest.

Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins (3/2/10)
Cloaked by Alex Flinn (2/8/11)
Other Words for Love by Lorraine Zago Rosenthal (1/11/11)

The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff (9/21/10)
Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon (5/25/10)
Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow (5/14/09)

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Magaret Stohl (12/1/09)
Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott (3/25/08)
Dark Visions by L.J. Smith (9/3/09)

Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson (5/1/09)

Have you read some of these books? What books have been on your to-read list for too long?

  1. For sure you have to give "Beautiful Creatures" a chance. I didn't have any expectations, and I was blown away. If you like books with delicious food and adventures in them, then start with it soon :) I've wanting to read Hex Hall for quite a time now but there are so many other books that get my attention. Perhaps, one day I'll get to it :)

  2. I read Hex Hall and really enjoyed it. It was some time ago, but I remember the mystery of it and the magic system drew me in. I never added Infinity to my list, but if I run out of other books to read (which is really unlikely) then I might give it a shot.
