Top Ten Book to Movie Adaptations I Still Need To Watch
Tuesday, November 10, 2015
Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is: Top Ten -- Top Ten Book to Movie Adaptations I Still Need to Watch. Some of these you may be surprised that I haven't seen. However, if the movie's release date was in the Fall of 2014, I was out of the country. Even though the movie theaters were impressive in South Korea, I would much rather be the tourist and see everything I could instead of watching movies.
Insurgent: I love the Divergent series (and no, I haven't read the last one yet) and I still haven't seen this movie. The trailer looks epic!
Mockingjay Part 1: Jennifer Lawerance is a perfect match for Katniss, at least I always thought so. In terms of the book, I liked Mockingjay least of all. Still, I have to watch the movie-- preferably before the second part comes out.
Love, Rosie: I haven't read this book but I saw it in stores once and decided to Google it. The movie came up and the trailer looks amazing. Any trailer that gets a huge reaction out of me is definitely worth seeing.
The Maze Runner: I didn't really like the book but my brother is obsessed with this series and begs me to watch the movie every time he is about to. I think it's time.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl: I haven't read the book of this one either but I got to meet the author during BEA week and it struck a chord with me.
If I Stay: I, also, met Gayle Forman during BEA and we talked about her movie. It doesn't sound like my type of thing but I'll definitely give it a try.
This is Where I Leave You: I found this book at a garage sale and didn't know that years later it would become a hilarious movie that every one of my family tells me I must watch.
The last three are movies that haven't released yet that I am DYING to see on the big screen. Have you see their trailers? They look awesome!
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children: I can't wait!
The 5th Wave: I barely remember the book but the parts I do remember seem to be in the movie trailer. Either way, it looks amazing!
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: This book had the best book trailer ever and now it's going to be the best movie ever.

I love your list. I agree that Mockingjay was my least favorite book. But Jennifer Lawrence does a phenomenal job with the emotional aspects that I really loved the first movie. Can't wait to watch several of these myself!

Love Rosie looks SUPER CUTE!!! I need to find this movie somewhere. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've not read the Maze Runner books but I'm really enjoying the movies so it's definitely worth giving them a shot. Hopefully you'll like them more than the books :)
ReplyDeleteOOoh nice list!! I can't wait for a few of these as well!

Have a GREAT day!

I totally forgot about Me, Earl and The Dying Girl, I really want to see this movie even though I'm only half way through the book. I like how they cast realistic looking actors and not models.
ReplyDeleteSome great movies on your list!
