Top Ten Completed Series I Haven't Finished

Tuesday, September 08, 2015

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created and hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's topic is: Top Ten Completed Series I Have Yet to Finish.

So it has been proven that I have trouble with finishing series.  With most, I have only one left to complete the whole series, to get the whole story.  It's just then it will be over.  It's hard letting go.

The Pledge by Kimberly Derting (read 2/3): It is difficult to find fantastic dystopians.  I only stick with the ones I love love love.  And I definitely loved this dystopian series. One more to go. Someday. (my review)

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand (read 1/3): I recently bought the sequel so this series may be read sooner than I anticipate.  After the Fallen series by Lauren Kate, I am kind of out of the angel phase for a little while but I remember really loving the first book (my review).

House of Night by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast (read 7/12): It will be a long time until I ever finish this series.  The main thing I remember about this series was the protagonist gets super annoying really fast.  Need some more time.

A Touch Trilogy by Leah Clifford (read 2/3): I know this is another fallen angel series but there is something different about this one. The protagonist is suicidal who is saved by an angel but also falls him and becomes involved in something bigger than her earthly desires. (my review)

Hourglass by Myra McEntire (read 2/3): Time travel-- fantastic series! Plus, give this series some cover love: gorgeous! Also, I just acquired the third book so I will get to this one soon! (my review)

Jasper Dent by Barry Lyga (read 2/3): Why can't I find the third one in stores at all? Where is it?  I haven't finished this series yet because I can't find the conclusion anywhere.  With such a cliffhanger in the second book, I am stuck in prolonged agony just thinking about what is happening to Jasper.

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (read 5/6): So I just haven't read the last one.  I can't let Jace go.  This is six books, spanning many years with these books and I'm not ready for the end.

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (read 1/4): Another angel book that I need some time after finishing Lauren Kate's series.  Another fallen angel series and I'll probably need to reread the first one before continuing.  All I remember is the fallen angel, Patch, and Nora and something about climbing up a gym rope.

Divergent by Veronica Roth (read 2/3): No one has spoiled anything but I did notice some mixed reviews and I have to prepare myself for the conclusion. (my review)

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (read 1/3): As much as I think this is the better and more beautiful cover than the first edition, I am still upset that my covers don't match.  Another book that I will have to reread but I loved this one.  Cross-outs, cute boys, and a dystopian that works! Yes! (my review)

What series have you not finished?

  2. The only reason that I finished Divergent is because I got spoiled for the last book. I wanted to see how the author pulled it off. It is a very interesting ending.

  3. It's funny, but I actually haven't even started any of these! I wanted to read Divergent, but then someone spoiled the ending for me and I decided I didn't want to read three whole books for that.

  4. The House of Night series feels endless, I can't even think of finishing that xD The last book of TMI is unnecessarily long but it's worth it to see how these characters that have been with us for so long end up.

I let go of Divergent because of everyone's mixed reviews...actually compared to the other 2 books, the 3rd book to way too many negative reviews :/ Nice list!
