The Bucket List just wanted to wish all of you a wonderful, awesome new year! 

Every year, in order to get in the mood of a new year, I take an entire week to showcase the many books I’ve read throughout the year.  This year, due to being out of the office (I just got back from South Korea), I have been a bit tight for time.  Today, I am sharing my favorite book of the year and tomorrow will be the top 5 books I want to read in 2015.  Definitely, stay tuned.

This year, my favorite book that I read is actually a whole series because I couldn’t just pick one. 

The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Despite what I reviewed (I only posted my Cinder review so far), I loved the series.  Winter will be released in 2015.  Most obviously, readers can understand that these are fairy tale retellings but if you think you knew these stories—Cinderella, The Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Snow White—think again.  Marissa Meyer takes these tales (Snow White aside, since that hasn’t been released yet) and throws them upside down and makes them her own. 

During this holiday season, when you are stuffed from those leftover cookies and can’t decide on the book you want to read, pick up Cinder by Marissa Meyer.  It is so amazing!
