Tuesday, December 27, 2011

Are you ready for 2012?   2011 just went so fast. So, I decided I am going to take you through the best books of 2011. Yesturday's theme was Best Book-Turned-Movie in 2011 and today I picked out the best covers I've seen all year. If I missed one of this year's covers that were your favorite, please let me know in the comments- I want to know what you think. They've had some really cool covers this year, check it out:

Best Covers of 2011

Why I Love Wither by Lauren Destefano's cover: Besides green, purple is my favorite cover and this one has plenty of it.  It is so pretty and her dress looks so textured and fluffy.  I like the bird in the cage because it has to symbolize something in the book (I haven't read the book yet, but I love looking at the cover!).

Why I Love Falling Under by Gwen Hayes' cover: Not only did I love the book, but I love the cover.  I'm jealous of her hair and the dress is so gorgeous!

Why I Love The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney's cover: The more I stare at this picture, the more I want to see her face.  I like the design on her arm, but I can't figure out what she is holding.  I like the frame of the entire book though.

Why I Love Betrayal by Mayandree Michel's cover:  So many gorgeous dresses on covers this year!  I love the colors on this one as well.

Why I Love Steel by Carrie Vaughn's cover: No dresses here, not that I can see anyway.  I love this cover, because it reminds me of Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings movies.  And the model on the cover looks like actress Claire Forlani, who played Queen Igraine in the Camelot TV show.  Really pretty cover!
