Waiting On Wednesday (Falling for Hamlet)

Wednesday, June 01, 2011

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday participants choose a book that they are "waiting on" or hasn't been released yet. This week I'm waiting for Hamlet:

Falling For Hamlet by Michelle Ray

Publisher: Poppy
Publication Date: July 5, 2011
Pages: 352
Per Order It: Amazon
Meet Ophelia: a blonde, beautiful high-school senior and long-time girlfriend of Prince Hamlet of Denmark. Her life is dominated not only by her boyfriend's fame and his overbearing family, but also by the paparazzi who hound them wherever they go. As the devastatingly handsome Hamlet spirals into madness after the mysterious death of his father, the King, Ophelia rides out his crazy roller coaster life, and lives to tell about it. In live television interviews, of course.

Passion, romance, drama, humor, and tragedy intertwine in this compulsively readable debut novel, told by a strong-willed, modern-day Ophelia. --Goodreads
I think I may be in love with this book, and I have not even read it yet.  Shakespeare lovers will not be disappointed, I hope with this new mordern tale of Hamlet.  For those who know me well, they know I love all things Hamlet, and when I saw this book, I knew I had to get my hands on this one.  I'm indifferent to the cover though.  I think Hamlet should be slouching on the throne or something like that rather than being to different pictures all together.  I love the tagline: First comes love.  Then comes madness.  Comes out in June, I'm totally counting down the days.

So, it's Wednesday.  What are you waiting for?
