Teaser:

"Mother acknowledged all of us with a curt nod. 'Helen, pick those up and come with me.' Her voice was almost as sharp as when she'd reprimanded the Mykenaean ambassador. My stomach turned sour. What had I done?"
-Nobody's Princess by Esther Friesner, page 83
Nobody's Princess is the story of the girl who would grow up to be known as the infamous Helen of Troy. However, now, she's just a girl who wants more than a comfy palace life; she wants to be on the battlefields! Her sassy attitude often gets her what she wants, but it usually gets her stuck in a difficult situation first. This book tells of how Helen learned to run, to fight, to disguise herself as a boy with cunning ease, to ride horseback, to make friends in unusual places, and most of all, how to follow her heart.

So far, this book is a great read! The only thing I'm not really loving is that I can tell it's building up to something amazing, but I only have a handful of pages left. At least I'm getting the sequel, Nobody's Prize, soon enough! :]
