Summer Fun!
Thursday, August 15, 2013To get me back into the swing of things, I decided to participate in the A to Z survey that The Perpetual Page-Turner came up with last Friday. On Saturday, The Bucket List's new reviewer will be posting from the same survey, so you can all learn more about her. It was really fun. To participate, link to Jamie's site and comment on the original post, but don't forget to tell them where you saw it first.
Author you’ve read the
most books from:
It’s
a tie between LJ Smith, author of The
Vampire Diaries series, and Alyson Noel, author of The Immortals series.
Best Sequel Ever:
Insurgentby Veronica Roth
Currently Reading:
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, and TheSilent Deal by Levi Stack
Drink of Choice While
Reading:
Coffee. There’s something so special about coffee, a
nice chair to sit in, and a good book to relax with any day.
E-reader or Physical
Book?
Physical
book, because I’ve done the e-reader scene and it’s just not my thing.
Fictional Character You
Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
EtienneSt. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Glad You Gave This Book A
Chance:
TheFifth Wave by Rick Yancey—sci-fi isn’t one of my favorite genres but I’m glad I
read this one! Check it out!
Hidden Gem Book:
ThereYou’ll Find Me by Jenny B. Jones
Important Moment in
your Reading Life:
Reading Hate List by Jennifer Brown: it opened my eyes to see things differently,
to see people in a new light.
Just Finished:
The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
Kinds of Books You
Won’t Read:
I
try to be open and give every book a chance but I tend not to touch any book
from The Fifty Shades of Grey craze; I’ve heard they are
over-the-top-ridiculous and I won’t be reading them anytime soon.
Longest Book You’ve
Read:
To
my surprise, according to Goodreads, HarryPotter and the Order of the Phoenix is the longest book I’ve read, coming
in at 870 pages.
Major
book hangover because of:
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Number of Bookcases You
Own:
6
small ones but there are even more books in piles after that
One Book You Have Read
Multiple Times:
ThePrincess Bride by William Goldman
Preferred Place To
Read:
Somewhere
where no one can find me—usually my bedroom, but it’s not the best hiding place
in the world.
Quote that inspires
you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once." --The Fault in our Stars by John
Green
Reading Regret:
As
of right now, it’s not reading Divergent by Veronica Roth when everyone was
talking about it. I read it last summer
or sometime like that, when everyone had seemed to move on to some other book
and I had no one to talk to about it.
Series You Started And
Need To Finish(all books are out in series):
There
are so many series I need to finish but I had really hoped to finish MaximumRide this summer and didn’t get to it yet.
Two more books to go.
Three of your All-Time
Favorite Books:
BoyToy by Barry Lyga, Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, and Wuthering Heights by
Emily Bronte
Unapologetic Fangirl
For:
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. After having just
finished Twilight, I walked three miles to borrow New Moon, from my
cousin. She answered the door in her
pjs—it was almost midnight. (A few years
later, a movie came out and tore Twilight apart but I’m not sorry for my
fangirling it up until the movie’s release date).
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Worst Bookish Habit:
I’m
very crazy over my books. The worst
habit is keeping a small log in my phone of who is borrowing what book and
giving them THE RULES before letting them borrow a book.
X Marks The Spot:
Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Read Shelf #1: Going Bovine by Libba Bray
To-read Shelf #1: Origin by Jessica Khoury
Your latest book
purchase:
Elixir by Hilary Duff
ZZZ-snatcher book (last
book that kept you up WAY late):
Austenland by Shannon Hale
