Waiting On Wednesday (OCD Love Story)

Wednesday, July 04, 2012

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday participants choose a book that they are "waiting on" or hasn't been released yet. This week I'm waiting for some contemps:

OCD Love Story by Corey Haydu

Publisher: Simon Pulse
Publication Date: 2013
Corey Haydu’s young adult OCD LOVE STORY, in which a girl with OCD bonds with a boy from her group therapy program only to push their budding relationship beyond it limits when her further descent into Obsessive Compulsive Disorder leads her to stalk the objects of her obsession, and she must choose: confront her past or forever be controlled by it. --Goodreads
Wow, is that cover really yellow.  The huge thing that brought me to this book was surprisingly not the cover, but the storyline.  I have a cousin who suffers from OCD and as much as a range of disorders are highlighted in today's YA genre, I don't think OCD is one of them.  I have not read many books with characters with the disorder and I think it would be interesting to see how severe the disorder is in the book and how she deals with it.  I look forward to reading this novel, even though the publication date is very far off.

What are you waiting for, on this fine Wednesday?

  1. I'm in the medical profession and took care of a boy with OCD. I think it would be very interesting to see how the author portrays this illness. I'm follower 416.
