Waiting on Wednesday (Enchanted)

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday participants choose a book that they are "waiting on" or hasn't been released yet. This week I'm waiting for some fairy tale:

Enchanted by Alethea Kontis

Publication Date: May 8, 2012
Publisher: Harcourt Children's Books
Pages: 305
PreOrder It: Amazon
It isn't easy being the rather overlooked and unhappy youngest sibling to sisters named for the other six days of the week. Sunday’s only comfort is writing stories, although what she writes has a terrible tendency to come true.
When Sunday meets an enchanted frog who asks about her stories, the two become friends. Soon that friendship deepens into something magical. One night Sunday kisses her frog goodbye and leaves, not realizing that her love has transformed him back into Rumbold, the crown prince of Arilland—and a man Sunday’s family despises.
The prince returns to his castle, intent on making Sunday fall in love with him as the man he is, not the frog he was. But Sunday is not so easy to woo. How can she feel such a strange, strong attraction for this prince she barely knows? And what twisted secrets lie hidden in his past - and hers? --Goodreads
So what do we have here?  The Princess and the Frog meets girl who looks strangely familiar.  Yeah that is what caught my eye.  The model on the cover is the same one who is on Falling Under.  She is adorable and I am a bit jealous of her awesome hair.  But that is not what I was unbelieving about-- it is because the model is wearing, it seems, the same dress that she has on for the sequel of Falling Under by Gwen Hayes, Dreaming Awake.  Wow, that is crazy.  Anyway, after reading about it, the book sounds fantastic, no matter if they are the same dress or not.  Can't wait until May to dive into this one (and for finals to be over so I can).

What are you waiting for, this fine Wednesday?

  2. Enchanted sounds great! Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'm really into redo Fairytales right now. I loved the Once Upon a Time Series and Jackson Pearce's books Sisters Red and Sweetly. I can't believe I have to wait 2 months for Enchanted to come out :(

  3. This all seems a little fishy. A girl who is "over looked and unhappy" who's "only comfort is writing stories"? Really? It seems like it's practically designed so that any awkward little teen can slip themselves into the book. Then again, that seems all young adult is, nowadays. Back in my day, if you wanted to read a book, you had to walk 15 miles in the snow, uphill, both ways, for every page.
