Waiting On Wednesday (Love and Leftovers)

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. Every Wednesday participants choose a book that they are "waiting on" or hasn't been released yet. This week I'm waiting for some lovein':

My wish
is to fall
cranium over Converse
in dizzy, daydream-worthy
love.

When her parents split, Marcie is dragged from Idaho to a family summerhouse in New Hampshire. She leaves behind her friends, a group of freaks and geeks called the Leftovers, including her emo-rocker boyfriend, and her father.

By the time Labor Day rolls around, Marcie suspects this "vacation" has become permanent. She starts at a new school where a cute boy brings her breakfast and a new romance heats up. But understanding love, especially when you've watched your parents' affections end, is elusive. What does it feel like, really? can you even know it until you've lost it?

Love and Leftovers is a beautifully written story of one girl’s journey navigating family, friends, and love, and a compelling and sexy read that teens will gobble up whole. --Goodreads
Wow!  First thing, just take a moment and look at that cover.  A fantastic cover: I love Converse shoes.  I just bought a new pair, bright green Converse, and I can't stop looking at them so you might guess how I am with this cover right now.  It's so pretty... never mind.  Anyway, this one sounds fabulous.  Reading above, I may think this might be in poem form, considering the beginning of the summary, but I'm not positive so do not take my word for it.  No matter what form it is, Love and Leftovers sounds like a really great book.  Too bad I have to wait all the way until January to get my hands on it.

So, what are you "waiting on" today?
