Follow Friday, Book Blogger Hop, and Book Blogger Tag Along (2/11/11)

Friday, February 11, 2011

Hey all! It's Friday, the day we do quite a few memes regarding bookish things!

Parajunkee's weekly Follow Friday lets blogger connect with each other, while asking an inquisitive inquiry. This week's question:

What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?

Answer: My favorite romance hero-type is the silent, yet emotional and creative kind. Someone who is willing to stand up for his heroine, but not a reckless fighter. A mix between the boy-next-door and the broody new student in the class. But you know, he can have a bad boy side that occasionally surfaces... I won't complain. On the other hand, the boy-whose-been-waiting-in-the-sidelines comes to mind. Characters like Peeta (The Hunger Games books) and Lewis Skolnick (Revenge of the Nerds movie), the ones who dream in the background until they can finally rise to the challenge and save the day. Yes! Let's hear it for the heroes!

Book Blogger Hop

Jennifer at Crazy-for-Books hosts a weekly blogger hop that helps book bloggers to connect through mutual love for books! It's a party for book bloggers! The weekly question brings people with shared interests together with a weekly question:
"Tell us about one of your posts from this week and give us a link so we can read it (review or otherwise)!"
Answer: I wrote a review for a book that (much to Gina's chagrin) I am currently "pushing." That book is The Water Wars by Cameron Stracher. I thought this book is awesome! It had the dystopian society mixed with some rebellion, teenage love, and pirates. I love pirates! You can read my review here. The Goodreads information for the book can be found here.

Photobucket

Laurie at Bitten by Paranormal Romance hosts a weekly meme that highlights book blogs that review books suited for 18+ year olds. I take part in this meme, but Gina does not. There is no question to answer, but if your blog meets the curriculum, head on over to Bitten by Paranormal Romance's page and add your blog to the linky!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

  10. Hi, just hopping by to say hello. I'm a new follower and your blog is awesome.

My favorite genre is Paranormal Erotic Romance and my favorite type of man is strong but tender. A man who treats a woman as an equal but isn't afraid to take charge.

    Have a great week
